If we want to know what life would have been like in 9000BC, we need to recreate the past and envisage life back then. There were large animals on the earth, so people had to be careful. As such, they were hunters and gatherers (they hunted game instead of raising it and looked to nature for their food staples rather than agriculture). Sure, life was simple but it was difficult as well. They had to use all the thinking about how to survive every day, and stay away from that which threatens them.
In ancient times, human beings were going to hunt food from stones and pieces of wood. People needed to be good at hunting because that was how they stayed alive; this means if someone was not good enough hunter he or she and his or her family could have a lot of problems getting food. They would slay creatures such as deer and bison, cooking it either raw or over licks of fire. The presence of fire not only provided a source of heat and light that scares away some animals, but also makes possible to the men cook their food.
The other 40% of their days was dedicated to food. From the woods and fields they gathered wild berries, nuts and roots It was this kind of food that brought us vitamins and energy. People also collected firewood for their fires and constructed shelters from the weather and wild animals. Life sucked even to the point of being dangerous, and yet it was never like they were ever willing to go about it differently.
And as time passed on, soon after people being living there changed. That was when they settled, instead of forever being on the move looking for supplies. This was an incredibly significant change, as it allowed our ancestors to form the means of stronger shelters and settled communities. That they could depend on each other for help and that there was support which existed between them.
Farming was the event that changed everything for humans. They learned to cultivate wheat and vegetables as well as maintain livestock such as goats and chickens. This allowed them to grow significantly more stuff and serve a lot more people in their area. They also learned how to preserve food so that they could ration it out and not have to go hungry especially in times of scarcity.
For centuries, people have invented a plethora of things that improved their life in one way or another. They made better farming tools so they could feed more quickly and effectively. This enabled them to trade with nearby groups and get things they were unable to produce themselves. Making their community life all the more richer, this trading exposed them to new ideas and lifestyles.
Writing Writing was another key step in their path to growth. It helped them keep a record of their history and also interact easily with one another. Text and paper were invented, they found a way of recording events, stories, ideas they got more knowledge. The more people learned from one another, it meant a better life for everyone and this way they went on to advance themselves even further in terms of farming, building etc.
